— engagements

Three engagements.
One output each.

Each engagement is a defined piece of work that ends with a written document. No retainers, no ongoing billing, no dependency on us afterward.

— methodology

How all three engagements work

01

Intake

A short written intake document from you describing the decision context, timeline, and relevant constraints.

02

Conversations

Structured conversations with the relevant people — management team, department heads, or both depending on the engagement.

03

Analysis

We apply our frameworks to what we've heard, cross-reference the local vendor landscape, and draft the written output.

04

Delivery

The reviewed written output is delivered by the agreed date. A brief walkthrough call is included if needed.

engagement 01

Digital Direction Read

A short two-week engagement for management teams who are receiving conflicting advice about where to direct their next round of technology investment. We sit with the leadership team for one structured workshop, conduct three to four short conversations with relevant department heads, and produce a written read that lays out the two or three directions most coherent with the business as it stands.

The intent is to help the team narrow choices, not to add another opinion to the pile. The output is a short narrative document — not a slide deck — that the management team can use to align on direction internally.

  • Designed for teams receiving conflicting technology advice
  • One structured workshop with the leadership team
  • Three to four short department head conversations
  • Written read: two to three coherent directions
  • Includes a short dissent section noting analytical limits

Digital Direction Read engagement

process steps

Written intake

You complete a short structured document describing the technology decision context, existing systems, and recent advice received.

Leadership workshop (half-day)

A structured session with the management team to understand priorities, constraints, and the current landscape of opinions.

Department head conversations

Three to four 45-minute conversations with relevant heads to understand operational realities and system pain points.

Written read delivery

Delivery of a reviewed written document within the agreed two-week window. Optional walkthrough call included.

engagement 02

Systems Stocktake & Sequencing Plan

A four to five-week piece of work for companies that have accumulated a sprawl of software across departments and want a calm view of what they actually have, what overlaps, and what should be sequenced in the next twelve to eighteen months.

The output is a current-state inventory, a sequencing plan with cost ranges for each step, and a short narrative document that the management team can use to brief the board. It is not a comprehensive audit — it is a working document designed to inform a decision about where to begin.

  • Current-state inventory across all departments
  • Overlap and redundancy analysis
  • 12–18 month sequencing plan with cost ranges
  • Board-ready narrative document
  • Includes SST and local vendor considerations

process steps

Systems intake survey

A structured template completed by relevant department representatives listing all tools, systems, and software in current use.

Departmental interviews

Series of conversations across finance, operations, and other relevant departments to understand actual vs. intended system use.

Inventory and analysis

We map the current state, identify overlaps, assess vendor stability, and build the sequencing logic.

Document delivery

Delivery of inventory, sequencing plan, and narrative document. Review call included.

engagement 03

Internal Tooling Brief

A compact one-week engagement aimed at department heads who want a short, considered brief on a single internal tool decision — a new CRM, a switch in finance software, or the consolidation of two overlapping platforms.

We frame the decision, lay out three to five candidate options at the appropriate scale, and write a one-page recommendation that the team can take into their own internal decision process. The brief is designed to be used without us in the room.

  • Single tool decision focus
  • Decision framing and context document
  • Three to five candidate options at appropriate scale
  • One-page written recommendation
  • Malaysia-specific vendor pricing where available

process steps

Decision context intake

One focused conversation

A 60-minute structured conversation with the department head to understand constraints, integrations, and team capacity.

Brief production

We research options, apply the decision framework, and write the one-page recommendation.

Delivery

Brief delivered within five business days. Email follow-up available for one clarifying question per document.

— standards across all engagements

What every engagement includes

Strict confidentiality

All information is treated as confidential. Nothing from your engagement is referenced externally or in other client work.

Written scope agreement

Every engagement starts with a written scope document: deliverable, timeline, fee. No oral-only commitments.

No vendor bias

We have no commercial arrangements with software vendors. Options presented reflect your context, not a referral structure.

Internal output review

Every document is reviewed before delivery. Factual claims are checked against the information gathered in the engagement.

Data deletion on delivery

Client documents and data shared during the engagement are deleted upon delivery of the written output.

Malaysia-specific analysis

All vendor options and cost ranges are verified against the Malaysian market. Recommendations account for SST and local availability.

— pricing

Three flat fees

All fees in Malaysian Ringgit. Excludes SST where applicable. 50% upfront, 50% on delivery (Tooling Brief: 100% upfront).
